Hello My Friends!

Happy Valentine's Day! Seeing you all at my classes and events warms my heart! I feel so lucky to have all of you in my circle!

I know these winter months can be tough especially February. We are in the heart of winter. However, I have noticed on my way to my Wednesday evening class it's still light when I get there at 5:45! There is light at the end of the tunnel. Hang in there!

I wanted to share with you some simple questions you can ask yourself when you're feeling out of sorts. These were shared with me. I'm linking the blog post so you can check it out too. Kendi recommends asking yourself these seven questions.....

  1. Have I drank water?
  2. Have I been outside?
  3. Have I eaten?
  4. Have I had a regular bowel movement?
  5. Have I moved my body?
  6. Have I slept well & slept enough?
  7. Have I connected with someone or something I treasure?

Sometimes self-care is as simple as actually checking in with ourselves and seeing what we might need. She also says "simple questions + simple actions = deep, meaningful change."

We need to remember that self-care looks different for everyone too. It isn't always a spa day or a massage. It might be gardening or going for a walk or simply sitting in silence. What is your definition of self-care? What makes you feel refreshed and nourished?

Just a couple class reminders..... You can click on the highlighted links and it will take you where you need to go which will have all the details!

Wednesday at Tupelo sells out fast! If this is where you want to be, I don't recommend waiting on registering. At this time adding another evening there isn't really an option.

We have more room on Monday at St. John Vianney. This is a chair yoga class but if you're newer to movement or are unsure of the whole being on the floor situation, this is a great option. Heck, if you want, you could always bring a mat and do floor versions of our chair class.

I have two events at the end of the month.

The first is at the Zen Den which is part of the Soul Vibes space in South Buffalo. This is going to be more of a meditation and sound bath and chairs will be available if you want them! Otherwise, bring a mat and anything else you would like to be comfortable.

The final event this month is a FREE event at the Soul Healing Center in Clarence, NY. Lana has expanded her space and has invited various vendors and practitioners in to offer their products and services. I will be offering FREE mini private sound sessions. No need to register, just pop in!

There is no grief yoga this month due to a scheduling conflict.

Finally, a couple save the dates for you....

February 25th from 11am-12pm I will be providing sound for a full moon meditation group at Inner Light WNY in Blasdell.

March 10 at 10am-11am I will be at Tupelo Honey Spa doing a sound bath to inspire good fortune and luck!

September 21st (9-5ish) will be a day retreat held by myself and Kat Bragagnola. We are in the process of planning this event which we hope to keep as affordable as possible. We have secured a location in Warsaw ( about a 45 minute drive from Buffalo). Keep an eye out for more details!

Peace-Jessie
